Position Summary

The Social Media Manager will lead Bensp Press’s social media strategy to expand audience engagement, enhance brand awareness, and amplify our trusted news content across diverse digital platforms. This role requires creativity, analytical insight, and proactive management to ensure timely and impactful communication that aligns with our mission of building informed communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive social media strategies that align with Bensp Press’s vision and core values.
  •  Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across platforms including Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging social media channels.
  • Monitor social media trends and audience behaviors to optimize content performance and user engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with editorial, content, and marketing teams to ensure consistency and credibility of messaging.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to audience interactions, comments, and inquiries to foster community relations.
  •  Analyze social media metrics and prepare regular performance reports with actionable insights to guide strategy evolution.
  • Manage social media advertising budgets and campaigns to maximize ROI.
  • Stay current on digital news and media innovations to ensure Bensp Press remains at the forefront of social storytelling.
  • Uphold Bensp Press’s core values, particularly agility, accountability, and focus on results, in all social media activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing social media in a fast-paced media or communications environment.
  • Proven track record of growing social media platforms and driving high engagement rates.
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills with attention to detail and clarity.
  • Proficiency with social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools to evaluate content performance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, professional, and rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in news media, journalism, or related sectors.
  •  Knowledge of trends in media technology, digital storytelling, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with equity-based compensation and flexible work models.
  • Skills in graphic design, video editing, or content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus.
  • Multilingual capabilities beneficial for diverse audience engagement.
