Position Summary

The Senior Journalist at Bensp Press plays a critical role in producing investigative, in-depth, and accurate news content across multiple media platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity and trustworthiness of our news output, driving impactful storytelling that informs and engages diverse audiences globally.

 

Key Responsibilities

•           Research, investigate, and produce high-quality news stories that align with Bensp Press’s mission and values.

•           Deliver accurate, clear, and compelling content across TV, digital, print, and social media platforms.

•           Develop and maintain relationships with credible sources and experts for exclusive news coverage.

•           Collaborate effectively with content managers, editors, and the wider newsroom team to ensure consistent messaging and timely news delivery.

•           Uphold journalistic ethics and company policies, ensuring all reporting is fair, balanced, and fact-checked.

•           Mentor and guide junior journalists, promoting continuous learning and professional development within the team.

•           Adapt quickly to breaking news and emerging stories, demonstrating agility and responsiveness.

•           Contribute to editorial planning and strategy discussions to enhance content quality and audience reach.

•           Use digital tools and analytics to assess audience engagement and improve story impact.

 

Required Qualifications

•           Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.

•           Minimum of 3 years of professional journalism experience, preferably across multiple media platforms.

•           Proven track record of producing high-impact, investigative, and trustworthy news stories.

•           Exceptional writing, interviewing, and storytelling skills.

•           Strong understanding of media law, ethics, and standards.

•           Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

•           Proficiency in digital journalism tools, social media, and content management systems.

•           Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

•           Experience in an international or multi-cultural newsroom environment.

•           Advanced degree or specialized training in journalism or investigative reporting.

•           Multilingual abilities relevant to Bensp Press’s global audience.

•           Familiarity with data journalism and multimedia content production.

•           Leadership experience or previous mentoring roles within a media team.
