Position Summary

The Reporter at Bensp Press plays a critical role in researching, investigating, and delivering accurate, timely, and compelling news stories that reflect our mission of credible information dissemination. This position requires a proactive, agile, and results-oriented journalist who is passionate about storytelling, verifying facts, and engaging audiences across multiple media channels.

Key Responsibilities

•           Research, gather, and verify information from multiple reliable sources for news stories and reports.

•           Conduct interviews and field reporting to cover breaking news, political affairs, business, technology, sports, and cultural events.

•           Write clear, concise, and compelling news reports, articles, and features suitable for TV, web, social media, and newsletters.

•           Collaborate closely with editors, photojournalists, videographers, and digital content teams to produce multi-platform stories.

•           Maintain strict adherence to journalistic ethics, accuracy, and fact-checking protocols.

•           Monitor news developments and emerging trends to identify fresh angles and story ideas.

•           Meet deadlines consistently while managing multiple stories in a fast-paced environment.

•           Participate in editorial meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of content quality and delivery.

•           Engage with audiences via social media channels to promote stories and gain feedback.

Required Qualifications

•           Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or related field.

•           Proven experience as a reporter or journalist (minimum 2 years preferred).

•           Exceptional writing, research, and interviewing skills.

•           Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings.

•           Comprehensive understanding of media law, ethics, and fact-checking standards.

•           Proficiency with digital journalism tools and social media platforms.

•           Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages an advantage.
