Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our professional and collaborative team. The Graphic Designer will play a crucial role in visually communicating Bensp Press’s stories, brand identity, and news content in compelling ways across multiple platforms including digital, print, and social media. The ideal candidate will be agile, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating high-quality designs that enhance our mission of informing communities.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and produce engaging visual content for digital platforms, social media, newsletters, print publications, and broadcast materials.
• Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, and content teams to develop graphics that align with story themes and campaign objectives.
• Maintain and evolve Bensp Press’s visual brand identity, ensuring consistency across all products.
• Create infographics, data visualizations, and interactive graphic elements to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
• Adapt and resize graphics for different platforms maintaining high-resolution quality and usability.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuously research and apply the latest graphic design trends, tools, and best practices to improve creative output.
• Take ownership of projects from concept through completion, ensuring accountability for final deliverables.
• Participate actively in creative team brainstorming and contribute ideas to enhance branding and storytelling.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience as a graphic designer, preferably in media, journalism, or digital content production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other graphic design software.
• Demonstrated experience designing for multiple media platforms, including social media, print, and web.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interpret project briefs and feedback.
• A portfolio that showcases creativity, technical skill, and versatility in graphic design.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with motion graphics and video editing software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS basics and website design principles.
• Prior exposure to news media or content-driven environments.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and infographic creation.
• Ability to incorporate feedback constructively and demonstrate continuous learning mindset.
