Position Summary
The Editor in Chief at Bensp Press is the flagship leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire editorial operation, ensuring the consistent delivery of accurate, trustworthy, and compelling news content. This role requires visionary leadership to uphold and elevate the company’s mission and values, driving editorial excellence across all multimedia platforms while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture. The Editor in Chief directs content strategy, quality control, team leadership, and innovation to maintain Bensp Press’s reputation as a trusted global news provider.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, and inspire the editorial team to produce high-quality, fact-checked, unbiased news and feature stories aligned with Bensp Press’s mission and vision.
• Develop and implement editorial policies, standards, and ethical guidelines that uphold journalistic integrity and credibility.
• Oversee content strategy across all media platforms (print, digital, social media, broadcast), ensuring coherence, relevance, and timely delivery.
• Foster a culture of agility, clear communication, teamwork, and accountability within the editorial department.
• Collaborate closely with other departments such as Marketing, Technology, and Legal to align editorial content with company goals and compliance standards.
• Monitor audience engagement, feedback, and analytics to continuously improve content impact and relevance.
• Lead recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives to build a skilled and motivated editorial team.
• Manage editorial budgets and resources effectively to optimize productivity and innovation.
• Represent Bensp Press in media industry forums, partnerships, and public engagements.
• Handle crisis communications and sensitive editorial decisions with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Drive innovation by integrating new technologies and formats to enhance storytelling and audience reach.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive editorial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior editorial leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in multimedia journalism across multiple platforms including digital, print, and broadcast.
• Strong knowledge of journalistic ethics, legal issues, and fact-checking protocols.
• Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to manage and mentor diverse editorial teams.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using audience metrics and editorial KPIs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in global or multinational media organizations.
• Familiarity with new media technologies, AI-driven content tools, and digital audience development.
