Position Summary

The Business Analyst at Bensp Press will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, gathering actionable insights, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires a keen understanding of media industry dynamics combined with strong analytical skills to enhance our operational effectiveness and drive growth. The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams including editorial, marketing, technology, and management to identify opportunities, assess risks, and deliver solutions that align with Bensp Press’s vision and mission.

 

Key Responsibilities

•         Conduct in-depth market and business analysis to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in the media sector.

•         Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and tech teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable insights.

•         Develop detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support data-driven decision-making.

•         Support strategic initiatives by evaluating potential impacts, ROI, and risk factors.

•         Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on business goals and project outcomes.

•         Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for continuous operational improvement.

•         Assist in the design and implementation of new business processes and technology solutions.

•         Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure Bensp Press remains competitive.

•         Support management with risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to business projects.

 

Required Qualifications

•         Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or a related discipline.

•         Minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Analyst or in a closely related role, preferably within the media or communications industry.

•         Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).

•         Excellent communication skills to articulate complex findings clearly and effectively across diverse teams.

•         Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

•         Demonstrated problem-solving ability and a keen attention to detail.

•         Understanding of digital media platforms, content distribution, and market analytics is highly desirable.

 

Preferred Qualifications

•         Master’s degree or advanced certification in Business Analysis or related fields.

•         Experience working with editorial or media content management systems.

•         Knowledge of emerging trends in news media, AI in media, or audience engagement strategies.

•         Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum).

•         Prior exposure to equity-based compensation models and start-up environments.
